L'interiorite citoyenne: Thomas d Ansembourg at TEDxLouvainLaNeuve
Self-knowledge is not just a personal issue!
We won't by miracle learn to globally respect Nature outside without learning how to individually respect our personal nature inside. We can't create new ways and attitudes without learning how to drop old ways of thinking and without opening our minds to think in a new way. Today, in front of the challenges that our civilization is facing, our deep personal and spiritual development is key to social and sustainable development
Thomas d'Ansembourg worked as a lawyer and corporate legal advisor for 15 years. At the same time he was responsible for an NGO, working with street teenagers over a period of 10 years. Since 1994 he works as a therapist, human relations consultant and certified trainer in Non Violent Communication.
He's the author of 3 best sellers ("Cessez d'être gentil, soyez vrai", "Etre heureux ce n'est pas nécessairement confortable", "Qui fuis-je? Où cours-tu? A quoi servons-nous? -- Vers l'intériorité citoyenne") and a keynote speaker with a talent for leading inspiring role playing activities and transformational workshops.
He proposes participants to work on self-knowledge and self-pacifying, allowing them to avoid ego traps, align to their fundamental energy and use their strengths to the benefit of the community. For him, profound personal development is the key to a sustainable social improvement.
He lives in Belgium with his wife Valérie and their three daughters.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
